Neat Calendar Rollup Webpart from KWizCom

KWizCom has a neat calendar rollup webpart that I figured is worth showcasing. It can rollup multiple calendars across multiple sites, into one central calendar. Also, it can access exchange calendars as well, making it a pretty powerful tool. That and it is only $399 which makes it practically free!

Updates to feed URL – now being burnt at feedburner.com

Hey all! This post is just an FYI letting you know I have changed the URL to my RSS feed, so make sure to update your RSS reader to stay up to date on my posts. The new URL is:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/sharepointhappenings

I took the advice of Joel Oleson and went with feedburner, to keep my URL agnostic. However, the old feed URL should still work, for now, there’s just no guarantee that it will forever, hence the reason I switch to feedburner.

Also, my blog is now utilizing the Community Kit for SharePoint, Enhanced Blog Edition (EBE). My main drivers to move to the EBE is better UI consistency (fonts, sizes, colors, etc), as well as integration with community tools like Digg, del.icio.us, and to be able to receive trackbacks.

To be brief… I’m a 4 year SharePoint veteran. I started working for Bill and Todd back in 2004, both writing code for them, as well as training their SharePoint developer course. As some of you know… this is my first week BACK at Mindsharp. I took about a 2 year hiatus and went to a fortune 500 company to lead their SharePoint team. However, I am very excited to be working for Bill and Todd again – two of the most well known names in the community. They brought me back to train again for Mindsharp, but additionally, I’m going to be helping with various development efforts on their software line of business, Barracuda.

This blog will become a repository for all kinds of things I’m working on. Obviously I will post my SharePoint dev tricks; however, I will not limit myself to that. I’m additionally going to be posting to a category called “The business behind SharePoint”, where I will to start a conversation with the community on business related topics that are unique to SharePoint.

Personally, I live in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. I’m married and my wife and I are expecting a baby in July 2007. Some of my hobbies include hunting (typically, pheasant and deer), fishing, and golfing (I’ve been known to convince some of my students into joining me for a twilight round after class). Last, but certainly not least, my life boils down to my pursuit of happiness through submission to the gospel of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…
