How to use Site Groups as audiences in Shared Services

I was working to target Top Link Bars in Shared Services Administration to site groups. For example, if I had a site named 'accounting', and I wanted to target a top link bar to everyone that was a member of that site, in their My Site, how would I do that?

It's relatively simple. Email enable the site group in Site Settings > Users and groups so that the membership is a distribution list in Active Directory. Then, when targeting using audiences in SSP Admin, you choose the Active Directory distribution list. Unlike audiences in sites that can be 1. SharePoint groups 2. Global audiences or 3. Active Directory Dist. or Security groups, SSPs can only target the last two.
